Station # 12... "Guastavino's Monument" A brick-lined and landscaped garden includes the symbolism and patterns of the Basilica of Saint Lawrence (1909). Known for it's elliptical tile and concrete dome the Basilica was designed by Rafael Guastavino a Spanish-Born engineer and architect Richard Sharp Smith. |
